I am blessed by regular visitations of Mother-Water in many of her iterations. When She guides paintings, miracles follow. Who She touches, knows peace. She's the calm before and the balm after the storm.

Bosompo joins Yemojah and Erzulie in my tribute and prayers to the sea. These Beings are called Goddesses by most. To me, they are Friend and Mother. Life-giving and love-sustaining.

 

In the oceans, I can trust with ease. The last time I lay in Her, I said--not knowing the impact of what I was saying, "In the ocean is the only place I can hear God." It didn't occur to me that She heard me that one encounter would be the springboard for the rest of my life.

Bosompo is the Akan primoridal Goddess of the Sea and Mother of the Abosom, those spirits that help humans. She keeps the company of every version of The Mother we've ever created.
