Desierto is 16 x 20”. It is my current iteration of the desert. Like other pieces, I did not plan this, but it’s evolved in parallel with repeated energetic connections to the sound and sand of Navajoland.

This piece feels like the warmth of sun-soaked sand, it hints at the mirages across the heat-baked terrain bringing peace, deep grounded, peace. It pulses and emanates from it like physical warmth.
