Málaga

Malaga for web.jpeg

Málaga is a port(al) into the Mediterranean Sea.

Here, tides meet and gently undulate under a deep sky with many meanings.

Within the sky is a representation of the Fool's journey, taking a leap into the abyss that might lead to the water and might not.

As a whole, this the reminder of the power that holds us, the grace that guides us, and that certainty is merely perception.

Like other pieces, the colors chose themselves and the canvas chose it's name. Someone asked later if I knew those were the colors of the Second Spanish Republic. I had no idea. But apparently Creation did.

According to Wikipedia: The Republican flag was adopted on 27 April and presented to the army of the nation on 6 May with the following words:[3] "The national uprising against tyranny, victorious since 14 April, has hoisted a flag that is invested by means of the feelings of the people with the double representation of the hope of freedom and of its irreversible triumph."  Coincidence? Maybe.

She is 30 x 40 x 1.5" and a bold splash of grace, hope of freedom, and leaps of faith. $4200.00 plus shipping.
