God touched me the other day
Reached out a mighty hand
and laid it on the top of my
head
Blessed me in the sight of another
Benediction for some thing or
other
I'm sure
The way opened with Her words,
The Word of another Messenger,
God, too, don't ya know. She said,
"I hear you sister"
The hand sat and settled
and I carried on with
the things that make a day
a day.
Funny that, I said, and her reply
indicated that it really was a Big Deal
damn-near a miracle.
Na, I said.
The miracle is that kind of blessing
come from a human hand.
And my heart sighed her a little sigh.
